CE Certification

The CE mark documents that the product in question complies with the requirements of one or more directives according to the EC concepts in whose scope it falls (simple pressure vessels, safety of toys, construction products, electrical equipment, etc.). If a product in question bears the CE mark, it may be marketed without restriction in any EC country.

The following applies to NORRES hoses:

  1. According to the definition of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the products are not classified as machinery or safety components. Nor are they products subject to the Low Voltage and EMC Directives, the Medical Devices Directive, etc..
  2. Products that are not subject to one of the above-mentioned EC directives may not bear the CE mark. Consequently, we are also not able to provide a declaration of conformity (=manufacturer's declaration).
  3. Hoses that fall under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU may be affected by the CE marking, but this must be checked for the individual application, as this depends on operating conditions.
  4. After the "Brexit", the CE mark is no longer valid for Great Britain from 2023. The British markings "UKCA" and "UKNI" are the corresponding successors to the CE mark.

As the operating conditions at the user's site are beyond our control and the constructive variety is too large, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data.
