Glorious weather for the fifth NORRES Summer Party 2010

The sunny weather made a comeback just in time for the NORRES Schlauchtechnik Summer Party, to which all company employees and their families were invited on September 4

Two years have passed since the last event and a lot has happened since. The single most important milestone for NORRES was the move to the new Stadthafen site. Children of all ages were eagerly looking forward to seeing “where Mum and Dad go to work every day”. A visibly proud Mr. Mollen presented the new premises to the many interested visitors, who contrasted the situation “before” and “after”.

Afternoon coffee and cakes provided a welcome opportunity to relax for a few minutes at this informal get-together. Among the numerous attractions for the youngest NORRES generation were “Dosenwerfen” (the German equivalent of a coconut shy, in which the aim is to knock down empty tin cans), face painting, a bouncy castle, a buzz wire, a fire hose and a nail hammering contest in which the children had a chance to beat their fathers in a test of skill. The bucking bronco proved to be almost as popular with the parents as with their offspring.

As in previous years, NORRES took advantage of the Summer Party as an occasion on which to honour longstanding employees. The oldest NORRES staff can meanwhile look back on an incredible thirty years at the company. The award ceremony was followed by various song and dance performances by Administration and Production, which had the audience clamouring for more. The “stars of the show” were only allowed to leave the stage after giving several encores. The guests were subsequently treated to a mouth-watering buffet, after which they were entertained by Michael Walta and his friend Freddy with their hilarious ventriloquist's act. Mr. Mollen and his wife suddenly found themselves back on stage again as part of a dialogue that certainly wasn't rehearsed! Finally, Sünke – a popular easy listening singer – invited anyone who still had the energy to round off a thoroughly enjoyable day by stepping onto the dance floor.
