Governance

Governance takes into account the ethical behaviour of a company - both in society and within the company. Responsible corporate governance is a hugely important aspect for the NORRES Baggerman Group and we focus on transparency and fairness. Responsible management processes and compliance with various legal regulations and cultural conventions are the basis for success in our international markets. For this purpose, we have integrated an internationally uniform set of rules into the corporate group, which includes rules for every process of action. The rules apply to the entire NORRES Baggerman Group and formulate our common aspiration as well as our common future actions.

The aspiration of our group of companies is to conduct all business and processes in an ethically and legally impeccable manner. This also includes the way we conduct ourselves in our daily work. At all times, the focus is on the expectation that all employees comply with all laws in addition to their own internal rules. Conflicts of interest should be avoided and the customs, traditions and social values of the respective countries and cultures in which we are active should be taken into account.

Corona Emergency Manual

Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, NORRES has implemented all necessary and recommended safety measures of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and has also taken additional protective measures. In this way, we have managed to ensure the highest standard of safety for our employees and for the entire group of companies. For this purpose, a crisis team was convened. This meets on a regular basis to respond to the dynamic events of the pandemic and to adapt changes to the Corona measures already in place. These include:

The separation of work areas, spatial splitting of departments, fever measurements and daily disinfection of all workplaces and surfaces used on a daily basis. Physical presence at meetings is waived, suspected Corona cases are isolated immediately, the costs for a subsequent Corona test are borne by NORRES. Our employees have the option to switch to the home office. We have made it compulsory to wear mouth/nose protection on our premises. This applies as soon as you leave your workplace. Inside the office building, the workstations are equipped with Plexiglas partitions and even greater distances have been created between the workstations. We have made vaccination offers to our employees and their families and successfully implemented our concept for an in-house vaccination centre.

These pandemic-related measures were and are continuously documented in a Corona emergency manual and appropriate supplements trained.

Inclusion and Diversity Policy

As a group of companies, we stand for the recognition, appreciation and integration of diversity throughout the working environment. As an internationally operating company, we are committed to openness and fairness and live this every day. We - as a socially responsible employer - are committed to continuously promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion as valuable aspects within our corporate culture and in all dimensions.

The NORRES Baggerman Group operates globally and we are proud to employ people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. However, our diversity is not only reflected in the origin of our employees, but also in the variety of their professional expertise and many other differences that distinguish each individual personality that is part of our team. Inclusion and diversity play an important role in this framework when it comes to meeting and anticipating the needs of our customers and achieving our overarching vision of being a national and international leader in our core business. To this end, we look for the best talent regardless of, for example, origin, skin colour, religion, gender, age, disability, gender identity and sexual orientation.

We will not tolerate discrimination in any way on the grounds of gender, age, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, marital status/ civil partnership, sexuality or disability or any other basis prohibited by law in any condition of employment.

Social Media Policy

Today, almost every company is present on social media - through a company profile, its employees on business networks or through third-party mentions.

If a company actively engages in social media, it can expand its information and communication channels for its target groups, but also move from one-way communication to an interactive, dialogue-oriented approach or focus only on social media monitoring. It is therefore important to understand the opportunities, the challenges and the existing processes.

In order to ensure the use of social networks in the interest and for the protection of our group of companies as well as the employees, it is necessary to reach agreements on how to deal with these media. We have decided to give our employees clear guidelines for communication on the web with a social media guideline.

This policy sets out the objectives and strategy of NORRES Baggerman Group's social media presence, identifies the social media platforms on which we are present and active. It provides guidance to our employees on how to communicate on social media as part of the company. It also aims to ensure appropriate communication across all channels in line with the company's overall communication strategy and policies. The policy applies to all employees at all locations and in all regions.

Whistleblowing Policy

Fair and ethical conduct is central to the NORRES Baggerman Group. Therefore, our organisation strives to achieve transparency and the highest standards of business ethics. As a result, we have developed a whistleblowing policy for our group of companies globally.

Our Whistleblowing Policy provides our employees with comprehensive information on our whistleblowing system and its procedures. Since the introduction of our whistleblowing tool, we have offered all employees the opportunity to anonymously report unlawful or unethical behaviour. It is an important tool that reduces risk and maintains trust in our organisation by enabling potential misconduct to be identified early and acted upon. Reporting can be done publicly or anonymously.
