Hose solutions for the wood processing industry

Hoses used in the wood industry are exposed to extreme conditions. Smooth operation of machinery is also very important in professional wood processing. Objective: Machines and follow-on stations must function as smoothly as possible + possible downtime must be minimized!

Best hose use in the woodworking industry

In the wood processing industry, whether in furniture production or in sawmills, wood dust and wood chips are produced that need to be vacuumed off. Likewise, wood dust must be vacuumed off in industrial saws, edge processing machines or, for example, in parquet flooring grinding machines. Hoses used in extraction systems in the woodworking industry must be particularly suitable for the throughput of abrasive substances. Since wood dust or wood chips are flammable bulk materials, an anti-static hose should be used for extraction. Because: During the conveyance, friction on the wall material can lead to an electrostatic charge, which can discharge with a spark transition and therefore carries the risk of the wood dust igniting. Lightweight and highly flexible NORRES hoses for the woodworking industry, such as the PROTAPE® PUR 301 AS and PROTAPE® PUR 330 AS, facilitate easy a safe and easy installation on the respective machine. On the other hand, they fulfill other important properties for use in the wood industry: They are flame retardant according to UL94-HB and DIN 4102-B1 and have a permanently antistatic wall.
The AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS and the AIRDUC® PUR 350 AS are among the heavy and medium-duty types of hoses which, due to their high abrasion resistance, are also ideally suited for use within the woodworking industry. In addition, both hoses are flame retardant according to UL94-V2 and DIN 4102-B1. As a further positive feature, these hoses are also smooth inside, optimized in terms of flow, whereby high flow rates can be achieved.

NORRES hoses for the wood processing industry are certified according to TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34 / EU and fulfill the safety requirements of the German Holz-BG.
