Hoses for the plastics industry

Applications and properties:
In the plastics industry, conveying hoses are used in several areas. One application area is the loading and unloading of silos, silo vehicles and tankers. The antistatic hoses AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD), AIRDUC® PUR 356 FOOD REINFORCED (XXHD) and NORPLAST® PUR-C 386 AS (XHD) are particularly suitable for this purpose as they have a high abrasion resistance. The hose types AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS (HD), BARDUC® PVC 381 FOOD (HD) and NORPLAST® PVC 384 AS (HD) are particularly suitable for conveying in granulate conveying devices, vacuum conveyors, shredders, extruders and injection moulding machines. For drying processes using hot-air dryers or granulate dryers, the hose types PROTAPE® TPE 321 REINFORCED (LD), AIRDUC® TPE 363 (MD), NEO 390 ONE / TWO and SIL 391 ONE / TWO can be used particularly well due to the higher temperature resistances. The AIRDUC® PUR 351 HT (MD), AIRDUC® PUR 355 HT (HD) and CP KAPTON® 476 products can be used for cooling air or film blowing machines.

Frequently asked questions:
Why should an antistatic hose be selected and which hose types are antistatic?
When solid and liquid materials are conveyed through chargeable tubes or hoses, electro-static charging occurs due to the friction of the material against the wall and the friction within the medium. In the case of flammable raw materials, that can lead to an ignition or even explosion of the raw material. Antistatic hoses, which can be identified by the abbreviation AS in the product name, can be used to counteract this risk.

How do I know if a hose is abrasion resistant or is suitable for transporting abrasive materials?
For the conveying of abrasive granules, please pay attention to the Abrasion-resistant icon in your hose selection.

Are the offered NORRES conveying hoses flow optimized?
Hose types which have the icon Smooth Interior are due to their inner smoothness particularly flow optimized.

Technical details and standards:
All antistatic hoses which are presented in this section have the following properties:
• Permanently antistatic wall: electrical and surface resistance < 109 ohm
