In this section, we would like to assist you with the selection of the appropriate conveying hose for raw material processing. In the following, we have compiled an initial selection of the most suitable hoses from our range for the filling and discharging of silo plants, screening machines and tankers. Depending on the product variant, our polyurethane hoses are antistatic (AS) or electrically conductive (EC) and comply with the ATEX guideline and the German TRGS 727, which allows them to be used in areas where the risk of explosion exists. Applications and properties

Hoses for raw material processing are mainly used for the filling and discharging of tankers, silos and silo trucks, as well as for use in vibration screening machines, screening machines, plansifters and windsifters.
The following hose types are particularly suitable for filling and discharging tankers, silos and silo trucks: AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS / PUR 356 EC / PUR 356 FOOD / PUR-INOX 356 FOOD-AS / PUR 356 FOOD REINFORCED, NORPLAST® PUR-C 386 AS / PUR 387 / PUR-C 387 AS / PVC 384 FOOD and BARDUC® PUR-INOX 382 FOOD-AS.
The following types of hoses are suitable for use in vibration screening machines, screening machines, plansifters and windsifters: PROTAPE® PUR-C 335 FOOD-AS FLAT / PUR 301 AS / PUR 330 AS / PUR 330 FOOD and PUR-INOX 330 FOOD-AS.
When conveying raw materials through hoses, electrostatic charging occurs due to the friction of the material against the wall and the friction within the medium. In the case of flammable raw materials, that can lead to an ignition or even explosion of the raw material. The use of antistatic hoses can prevent this risk. Antistatic hoses are labelled with an AS, for example the AIRDUC® PUR-INOX 355 FOOD-AS. However, in some cases, such as the conveyance of carbon, the electrostatic charge is so strong that an antistatic hose is not sufficient. In such cases, the hose must be electrically conductive so that electrical charge can be conducted through a grounding and the explosion does not occur. Electrically conducting hoses have the label EC, such as, for example, the AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC.

• Certified according to TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU
