Traditional Christmas donation to “Noah’s Ark”

NORRES supports regional project

Ever since the Sponsors of Gelsenkirchen Children’s Hospice were first founded eight years ago, NORRES Schlauchtechnik has supported this worthwhile local project with an annual Christmas donation. In line with this tradition, Managing Director Burkhard Mollen recently presented a cheque for € 5000 to Rudolf Heib, Chairman of the Sponsors of Gelsenkirchen Children's Hospice, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment: “We made a conscious decision to choose a project from our own region that helps children and their families”.

Noah’s Ark is both a short-term care centre and a hospice for children and teenagers suffering from serious illnesses or with severe disabilities. The families and relatives of sick or disabled children are frequently on the verge of exhaustion. Temporary respite and the chance to recuperate enables them to regain their strength and look after their dependent offspring more efficiently.

The decision to make a donation to Noah’s Ark instead of sending out Christmas presents reflects NORRES’ longstanding policy of social responsibility. “We receive a great deal of encouragement and positive feedback from customers regarding our efforts to support children and families in their name”, says Mollen. Noah’s Ark has provided assistance to around 370 families from all over the Ruhr Valley since 2001. Rudolf Heib, Chairman of the Sponsors of Gelsenkirchen Children’s Hospice, was delighted to accept NORRES’ seasonal donation: “In the next twelve months, we intend to use part of the donated money to install air conditioning in those rooms that are still without and continue improving our large, barrier-free garden”.
