NORRES extends its Environmental Solutions Business Unit

NORRES Schlauchtechnik develops innovative polyurethane tube diffusers for sewage treatment plants

NORRES, the Gelsenkirchen based hose manufacturer, recently extended the product portfolio of its Environmental Solutions Business Unit by launching an innovative tube diffuser made from premium polyurethane. In addition to EPDM and silicone tube diffusers, NORRES now also offers the PRO₂AIR diffuser in premium polyurethane. Thanks to the use of high-quality raw materials, the new PRO₂AIR is remarkably flexible and durable.

All the other tube diffusers currently available in the market have a shorter service life and are much more sensitive to dynamic loads owing to their inferior raw materials. Some of these diffusers additionally suffer from a significant pressure loss increase during the course of their lifetime because the softener leaches out. This is no longer possible with the new PRO₂AIR made from premium polyurethane: it is absolutely free of softeners, so that hardening or embrittlement of the tube diffuser membrane is ruled out. On the contrary, the membrane convinces with its high permanent elasticity. Compared to the raw materials traditionally employed, premium polyurethane provides increased flexibility and mechanical strength under dynamic loads. The PRO₂AIR tube diffuser is characterised by very high tensile strength and tear resistance, leading ultimately to greater operating reliability and a substantially longer service life. The optimised slit perforation guarantees a uniform bubble pattern and optimal oxygenation efficiency across the complete specific air flow range. It goes without saying that the new PRO₂AIR is permanently resistant to microbial attack and hydrolysis, and the minimal maintenance requirement is a further point in its favour.
